Outrigger Shapes

Bent wood shafts stress the wood and take most of the flexibility out of the shaft. Only precise laminations during assembly keep the shaft flexible and strong.

     OPTIONS:

SHAPES- We offer 4 classic shapes which are denoted by the angle where the blade blends into the shaft but, any shape can be transformed into a paddle.

TIP SHAPE- Round, Medium Round and Square. (see canoe shapes)

BENT?- The shafts are not "bent" but, precisely laminated into the blades. Available 5, 7 and 10 degree. (custom option 0-10 degree bend you choose)

LAYUP- All paddles have custom T-grips and a fiberglass overlay on the blades with replaceable synthetic tips artfully covered with custom exotic veneers.

arc20L     ARC20- An angle of 20 degrees where the shape blends into the shaft makes this a long shape to get the desired purchase. Blade length 19"-22" (paddle pictured 22" square tip shape $160)

arc21L     ARC21- An angle of 21 degrees where the shape blends into the shaft allows this shape to be shorter. Blade length : 19"-21" (paddle pictured: 19.5" medium round tip shape $170)

arc22L     ARC22- An angle of 22 degrees where the shape blends into the shaft allows this shape to be even shorter. Blade length 18.5"-20" (paddle pictured: 19.5" medium round tip shape $150)

arc23L     ARC23- An angle of 23  degrees where the shape blends into the shaft allows this to be the shortest shape. Blade length 17.5"-19.5" (paddle pictured: 19.5" medium round tip shape $170)
