Canoe Shapes
We offer a wide array of shapes for canoe and outrigger paddles. All blade shapes can be transformed into a canoe paddle but, some shapes work better then others.
OPTIONS-
ROUND- Round tip shapes have a softer feel and perform the best when dissipatint turbulence/instability caused by water flowing past the blade. (see blade anatomy)
MEDIUM ROUND- Medium round tip shapes have solid feel and are good at dissipating turbulence/instability. (see blade anatomy)
SQUARE- Square tip shapes offer the most purchase but, have the most instability. (see blade anatomy)
LENGTH and WIDTH- The length and width of a shape change the feel of the shape . (see blade anatomy)
LAYUP- All paddles have custom T-grips and a fiberglass overlay on the blades with replaceable synthetic tips artfully covered with exotic veneers.
AC- A classic shape that has good purchase. Blade length 19"-22".
